CSS Zibaldone is gone

CSS Zibaldone will no longer be maintained.

CSS Zibaldone will no longer be maintained. The reason is pretty simple: obsolescence. In the past years CSS Zibaldone had a reason to exist due to the immaturity of CSS specifications and the existing browser discrepancies, which were very relevant. Today the CSS specifications are more consistent and we also have a new browser generation (IE 11 was actually a remote dream just a few years ago). In short, CSS Zibaldone has no reason to exist today.

My CSS tests were obsolete as well. They simply covered the major aspects of the CSS 2.1 specifications but did not focus on CSS3. Today CSS3 constitutes a new reference when it comes to browser testing.

My articles, demos and other examples were rather immature because they didn't take into proper account my experiences as a professional web developer during the past five years. For example, they cannot be compared to the recent articles I've written for Smashing Magazine.

Further, CSS Zibaldone was my first experience with one of the first web standards I've learned. Now my experience covers many different standards and programming languages and CSS Zibaldone can actually be regarded as limiting and incomplete.

Anyway, I've created a full backup of CSS Zibaldone. If you ever need an article, a demo or a test, please don't hesitate to contact me.
